Colton joined Kollie Law Group in 2019. He grew up split between Oregon and Southern California, spending weekends surfing the beaches in San Clemente, and most long school breaks tubing the rivers and camping among the trees of Oregon. Eventually Colton decided that Oregon was his true home and chose to finished his undergraduate degree at Portland State University.
Since coming back to Oregon full time, Colton has dedicated his professional life to education and criminal law. While finishing his bachelors degree Colton worked as a swim/water polo coach as well as a law clerk with a prestigious Portland criminal defense firm.
Choosing to take the plunge, Colton attended Willamette University College of Law. While there he focused his study on trial skills and criminal law. Colton took every possible class that could teach him about the two subjects, especially a course taught by former Chief Justice Demuniz on Oregon Criminal law and procedure.
While still in law school Colton was certified by the Oregon Supreme Court to work as a certified law clerk, permitted to work full cases and conduct full trials. While clerking with the Polk County public defender's office Colton won his first two trials before even graduating from law school.
Since graduating from law school Colton has worked in both criminal defense and family law. Working long hours to serve his clients' interest through strategic negotiations and aggressive litigation. While some have called him an "odd duck" no one has ever accused him of backing down when his clients' interests are at stake.
When he is not working, Colton prefers to be outdoors with his recurve bow and his German Shepard Remy.
