W. Edward Neusteter
Mr. Neusteter joined Kollie Law in 2019. He was a Deputy Public Defender for the County of San Diego from 2013 to 2018. He served assignments as a trial lawyer on the adult felony and misdemeanor teams. He also had assignments with the juvenile delinquency office, and the Specialty Courts Team. Mr. Neusteter received San Diego County’s “Heart of Service Award” in 2018 for his work with the Specialty Courts Team. Prior to becoming a Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Neusteter served two terms as an Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Legal Fellow. His project focused on serving the legal needs of combat veterans returning to the community, primarily, from Iraq and Afghanistan. After graduating from law school, Mr. Neusteter served as the Clinic Fellow for the Thomas Jefferson School of Law Veterans Legal Assistance Clinic for one year. Mr. Neusteter also previously served as the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyer Division’s Liaison to the Commission on Homelessness and Poverty. Mr. Neusteter is a member of the State Bars of Oregon, California and Colorado. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit since 2011.
